Best Performance Upgrade Ever June 24, 2008 Paul N. Conway (Cleveland, Ohio, USA) I installed this intake in my 2005 trailblazer I6 EXT LT. Installation took 30 minutes, which included removal of old air box and resonator. Make sure that the resonator is removed. The installation required basic tools, a 8, 10, 13mm sockets, and a phillips screw driver. After install I took it for a test drive and WOW!!! It sounds absolutely unbelievable!!! I mapped out the gas mileage both before and after. I went from 16.9 mpg to 21.2mpg. same driving style, same gas, same speeds. I HIGHLY recommend you pick one up for your gas guzzler!
Nice sounding intake February 13, 2008 Daniel Thompson Although they say it improves horsepower and gas mileage, I unfourtunately haven't noticed either. The sound of the intake is great. It sounds like a deap roar when the accelerator is pressed firm. The intake doesn't seem more powerful though. It may show up on a dyno, but I don't notice it. Might be better off just buying a K&N filter and saving a little money.
