They replace your engine's stock air cleaner or airbox with a low-restriction K&N filter assembly that increases airflow to your engine. And as we all learned in Hot Rod 101, more air means more power--up to 19 more horsepower. Plus, the filters can be covered by up to 1/8 in. of debris before air restriction makes cleaning necessary. The kits include an air filter assembly, a plenum (where applicable), mounting hardware, and instructions.

I installed this kit in under an hour, another half hour "testing." Instructions were great and I gained 2mpg city and 3 highway on a 1998 Z71 5700 vortec with 90,000 miles. Throttle response is great and much improved over a standard KN filter.
