Installation is very time consuming. I am fairly mechanical but it still took about 6 hours, newer call electronics are more complicated. If you value your time I would pay to get installed. I am very happy with the product. The range is very good starts no problem from inside the house to the street. Two-way is very helpful letting you know if it started or not. I have had this product for over a Year and have had no issues.
