Perfect Fit for 2001 Tacoma October 18, 2009 M. Buettner (Vancouver, WA USA) The CST 5791 is a perfect fit for a 2001 Tacoma. No "Check Engine" light, and not able to defeat lock with downward pressure, like with some other manufactures reviewed.
Gets the Job done May 20, 2009 cat07 (WI, USA) It's a little confusing to use at first, but once you figure it out it's fine. I wanted this to prevent someone from vandalizing my gas tank, and it gets the job done.
Does what it claims April 1, 2009 Scott R. Keiser In a time of rising gas prices, siphoning gas tanks is on the rise. Sure the lock can be picked just like any other lock but the goal is to make it harder so they will go to the car next to you or down the row instead of taking the gas from your tank.
If you don't feel like locking the cap you don't have to and can use it like a normal cap.
The only downside is that the cap does not have a cord to attach the cap back to the vehicle so you don't have to sit it down while you are pumping gas and possibly forget to pick up the cap.
Wrong Part Description February 21, 2009 J. Madrigal (Lost Angeles, CA. USA) The product description says that it will fit a 2005 toyota tundra. unfortunately it does not, so i can not rate the product, but i gave it one star to bring attention to other consumers that own a toyota tundra.
Great for saving gas! December 22, 2008 Kay Hayes (San Jose, CA USA) When gas was $5+ a gallon (hey, we live in California) having someone siphon the gas from your tank was a real worry. My husband bought 2 of these for his pickup because, with 2 big tanks, it cost about $100 to fill up at $5/gallon. They worked great and were very easy to use, unlike the cheap one I bought for my minivan at the auto parts store. If I had known there were better options available on the internet, I would have bought one of these for my car too!
