 J-Lock bar is ok, Made in China disk lock is junk September 11, 2008

The J-lock bar seams to be of decent quality, however the lock is typical light weight "Made in China" JUNK. I am going to see if a Master Lock 40DAT 2-3/4-Inch Discus Padlock will fit the bar, however now I am looking at a cost of $45 for the set up. For the $33 that I paid, $31.50 is for a steel bar & a $1.50 is for the lock.

This is an excellent product, however, the 15 1/2 length is for the extra large lock and not for the one advertised here.
# Regular J-Lock fits trailers with maximum spring thickness of 1-1/2" and distance from the back (inside) of the spring to the outside of the wheel between 6" and 10-1/2".
# XL J-Lock fits trailers with maximum spring thickness of 2-1/4" and distance from the back (inside) of the spring to the outside of the wheel between 10-1/2" and 15-1/2".

After using braided security cables and locks wrapped around axles and through wheels this is very quick and simple to install. These locks can be installed on both sides in less than a minute and you can walk away with a feeling of much more security.

Very good product. This helps you keep your trailer from being towed away by those "snatch and grab" thieves, as it keeps the wheels from rolling on the trailer.
