5 out of 5 stars A bit pricey but Works Fantastic - Well Worth it!   August 28, 2010
Terry (AZ)
This arrived in a black color (I thought they shipped out the wrong one) and not what is shown here, but it is the 12000 Extreme marked on the ramp, but color didn't matter here, more important was the functionality of the ramp. We've used this on my Tribeca and it went up like a charm! no sliding whatsoever. Now comes the real test on our RX-8 and after reading some reviews on the other Rhino ramp, I thought this was the better option, and I'm glad we bought this one even though it cost a little more - well worth it! RX-8 went up without the ramp sliding! Storage wasn't a problem for us since we don't store a bunch of crap in our garage, just stick it in a corner like it shows upright and it stays put, Weight is not light or heavy, just right. I don't think its bulky at all. I grew up with the metal ramps, and much prefer these instead.

4 out of 5 stars Great Ramps for ATV   August 27, 2010
Lambert Klein (Michigan)
These ramps work out really great for my Prairie 360 4x4 ATV. It stays in place well, and the ATV goes up without a hitch.

Glad I decided to purchase these.

3 out of 5 stars Not very good for lowish cars   August 23, 2010

Well these work as advertised, any of the other reviews will tell you that. Also they are now Black like the 8000 ramps, I thought they shipped me the wrong ones when I opened the box because I saw the silver ones advertised as the 12000 version.

My issue is with 3 of our cars have bumpers that will rub up against the ramps before you get the wheels on them. None of them are lowered or anything like a high-end sports car. Mazda3 5dr, 2006 Acura RL, and a BMW 335i... we haven't even tried the BMW mainly because it's still under warranty and usually goes to the dealership. But with the Acura and Mazda both of them rub up against the ramps before the wheels get on. We tried putting a small piece of wood in front of the ramps before we drove the Acura up last time and it seemed to help. That time there was no rubbing, and all it needed was maybe an inch of height.

My point is if you have anything remotely low to the ground, you will need to have something to raise the wheels up before you hit the ramps. I think Blitz should design an extended ramp that works with lowered cars. All it would really need is smaller incline which would require longer ramps. It's hard to line up the ramps if you can't stick them directly in front of the wheels, so it usually requires 2 people to put our cars up on ramps. One person to watch the tires and make sure they're centered on the ramps, and the other person to drive up.

These ramps are light, and easy to handle. No rust because they are not metal.Very strong.Easy to use with bumper stops so you won't roll too far.

5 out of 5 stars Worked Great!!!   August 8, 2010

I just got the Ramps this week and used them for the first time TODAY on my 2003 Chevy Silverado Extended Cab with a 5.3. It actually has a 2/4 Drop and 20" Wheels with 275/45R20 Tires. I was on my Asphalt Driveway, I put the Ramps right it front of my front tires, Get into my truck, and drove right up them!!! Didn't slip AT ALL. There is a Rubber Pad in the middle Front, pretty thick, not large, but it seemed to work for me. I used to be a Professional Mechanic 3 months ago, and always had access to Racks. I Changed Occupations for the better, and so I no longer have Rack access. So I got a set of these.

Again my truck is lowered, and so I was worried about a ramp not fitting under the front of my truck to drive up. I had no problem with these like I said. I put them right up Against the tire, and then drove right on up!!! The Negative is it's not UP very high, at least on my lowered truck. On my Low to the ground creeper, I could just get under to change the oil and oil filter. I wanted to change the Fuel filter also, but that was ALMOST impossible. It's along the frame railing back a bit near the front of the Gas tank, I could barley get back enough to just reach the filter and 2 wrench it with one hand to get the filter off. I did manage though. I wish I could of do it on a rack at my old Job, but my old Boss is P.Oed that I left. Now he has to work far more and hired a couple Idiots to take my place. I wouldn't get my car worked on there now!!!

I'm not going to knock it down any stars because it didn't lift my truck up enough as I knew how much it would raise it before I ordered them. Again, No slipping for my truck and it's Rear Wheel Drive!!! It didn't Sink in the Asphalt, or Crack, or anything else. Nice and Solid. The Price was right as $48, with no tax and free 2nd day shipping for me. It's harder for me to do oil changes these days, having to do it at home, but then again, I've seen some of the work so called Pro Mechanics do on peoples cars/trucks from different places, and I think I'll stick doing most ALL that I can, other then things that just isn't feasible for me to do at home. Things like Smog Check.
