A compact and light charger that works March 8, 2010

I bought the Battery Tender 2-Bank Battery Management System charger to replace a very old one that is close to end of life and mostly, for the capability of:
1. charging two batteries concurrently
2. overcharging protection
I was pleased with the weight of the Battery Tender, the compact size and the simple user's interface that shows the status of the charge. It does the job effectively and the price is right. I haven't had it long enough to make statement about its reliability except that it appears to be well made. It is a plus that this charger can be used on a long list of different types of battery. Please check the manufacturer's list to make sure that it fits the intended use.

I bought the Battery Tender 2 -Bank for my Husband for Christmas. He couldn't believe I got it for the price I did and that it was free shipping.... I have looked for this item in the past but had never purchased till now and I am glad I got through Amazon... My Husband is using this now to keep his 4 wheeler charged in the cold barn.

I have purchased Battery tender products from amazon in the past and find them to be absolutely essential to prolonging the life of your batteries. I recently purchased the Battery Tender 022-0165-DL-WH 12V 2-Bank Battery Management System. It does the job but the leads that are permenately attached to the unit are 48 inches long, so if you mount it to the wall you have to have your batteries or vehicles very close. I use it for my Garden tractor and motorcycle and I will have to buy the extention cord to be able to mount the unit to the wall. It is not possible for me to plug both my tractor and motorcycle with out the extention.

Not much to add to the great reviews so far. This thing is great. I have 2 batteries in my boat and 2 in my diesel truck. I installed the plug in leads on the boat batteries for easy, semi-permanent, solid connecting installation. The clip leads I'll keep here at the house for the truck since that's a short term need.
It's easy, light, compact and does the job well. Just plug it in and go and I don't have to worry about weekly trips up to the boat to switch a big clunky battery charger from battery to battery. When I need to top off the truck batteries (it helps keep them healthy) I'll plug it in here and not have to worry about disconnecting the 1 battery I'm going to charge so the other won't leach off it. I can charge both evenly and not put undo draw on the stronger of the 2.
I just wish I would have gotten this thing a long time ago!!!
