Install this valve and you can drain your engine oil without tools and without mess. Just lift the lever of this solid brass ball valve and give it a quarter turn to open it. Return the lever toits original position and it locks closed, double sealed to prevent leakage. The Engine Oil Drain Valve is made of corrosion resistant forged brass and stainless steel. The ball valve design provides a straight flow for efficient drainage and a perfect seal when closed. Frozen drain plug and stripped threads are eliminated forever. Drawing samples for oil analysis is as easy as one-two-three. Sizes to fit all cars, light trucks vans and buses. Also fits RVs, marine engines and industrial equipment. (N-Type Valve(w/Nipple)). --------N-Type Valve:The Engine Oil Drain Valve is also available with "Nipple" to accept hose. It makes oil changing easy for industrial engines, boat engine and other hard-to-reach applications. Please check "N-type Fumoto Engine Oil Drain Valve (with Nipple to accept hose)" at Amazon store.

| Customer Reviews: Great product that has never failed March 10, 2010 Matt McElhaney (Texas) I have used these high quality ball cock valves on all my cars for the past 15 years with zero problems. Never burn your hands or search for drain plug in messy oil.
worth every penny September 24, 2009 zzz05 (New Haven Connecticut) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
First of all, there are no worries with this item. It's built to industrial strength specs and will not wear out or break. It's a ball valve, which is a preferable design to other varieties (ask your plumber). The opening lever is springloaded to lock into a notch so it can't open itself. Most applications where you'd use it, the drain hole is at such a position and angle that the valve doesn't protrude below the bottom of the oil pan and presents no risk of getting hit by a rock or anything; the few exceptions (Volvo 240, for instance) where the drain hole is at the bottom of the pan pointed straight down, you don't really need this valve because access is already pretty good. For something like a Honda where you have to reach way back to work on a drain that's pointed away from you, and which has a narrow range of torques between leaking because it's too loose and stripping because it's too tight, this is a must.
There are two varieties, one with a nipple to attach a piece of tubing to carry the oil, and one that just drips straight down. I found that there really wasn't enough clearance under the car to make the tubing useful, as my drain pan barely clears the oil pan as is, and the thickness of a hose would require it to drain uphill for the last stretch of tubing.
The only down side is that if you then take your car somewhere for an oil change, they can't always figure out not to take the valve out and throw it away. Even when you tell them not to, and explain how to work it. To me, this just suggests that they are probably too dumb to be trusted even to just change your oil.
Makes oil changes so much eaiser July 4, 2009 Anthony Cardenas 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
It was easy to put on, and now I don't have to worry about buying a new crush washer every time I do an oil change. Just a flick of the switch and it drains the oil, flick it back and it locks and does not leak. Well worth the money and anyone that does their own oil change should definitely invest in this.
AWESOME!!! June 7, 2009 A. Clark 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have installed them on 4 vehicles so far. They're built like a tank and work perfectly (even after 8 years). I put a dab of RTV on the threads when installing them to ensure no leaks from worn oil pan threads. The F106 typically sits with the top 90 degrees to the right and not straight up as pictured. Remove the gaskette and it will snug up to the pan with the top pointing up. To change the oil, just reach under the vehicle and turn the valve. Makes the job much easier and cleaner.

Works great and built to outlast the life of any vehicle. No fuss, no nonsense and best of all, no mess.
